Along with the Nation, the Majuli University of Culture also celebrated the National Librarians' Day on 12th August, 2024. The Central Library, Majuli University of Culture organized a programme to commemorate the father of Library and Information Science in India Padma Shri Dr. S. R. Ranganathan on his 132nd birth anniversary. The programme was started with the Lighting of Lamp by the Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor of the University follwed by the welcome address of Brahmadutta Baruah, Library Assistant of the University. In his address, the Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor shared the significance of the day by remembering experience of his visit to the National Library, Kolkata. The Registrar of the University also shared his views on the importance of the use of Library in the student life. The program witnessed by the faculty memebers, officers, employees and students of the University was ended with the Vote of Thanks by Dr. Bhaskarjyoti Baruah, Section Officer, MUC.
